Their installers will recognize your EZdrummer 2 installation and will integrate their third-party midi libraries automatically in your EZdrummer2 browser. Perhaps the most comprehensive midi libraries that work with EZdrummer2 are from groovemonkee (.com). Stone-Age thread but still relevant for those who searched 'Third-Party Midi" a term used by Toontrack themselves in their EZdrummer2 tutorials. The Toontrack forums are really helpful, but I didn't want to ask them for advice on competitors on their own forum.tutt So basically my question is if anyone knows if you can use 3rd party samples and load them into the EZD library somehow or if I'm limited to using the kit sounds Toontrack sells if I want to use the EZD loops and/or its mixer. ![]() I have a feeling this is possible using other methods but EZD works well for me, but for now I'm pretty limited by the default kit unless I buy more from them. I'll record a pass with the kick/snare, then a pass with toms, then HH or cymbals, etc and you can EQ or process each separately, using just one instance of EZD and 7 auxes. I'm guessing when you get a new kit from Toontrack it is basically MIDI-triggered samples of recordings of each drum for each velocity level available? If that's not way wrong I'm wondering if I can use drum samples available elsewhere.ĮZD also works nice for goin' freestyle with a keyboard but using EZD's 8 channel mixer to route all of the drums to different channels. ![]() I'll try to keep this short after reading your responses and apologize when I'm not using the correct verbiage sometimes. ![]() And also good to know about the grooves with the kits as I'll be springing for the Nashville kit soon. ![]() The only thing cooler would be if you could mix and match the drums between the kits. Thanks everyone. So if you like one of the grooves that came w/ the original kit, but like the sound of to the Nashville kit - load up the Nashville, and go to the Grooves section and click on the Pop/Rock kit and load up that groove. What's really cool - and I didn't know it did this - is all of the kits come w/ pre-recorded grooves (which I did know), but any of the kits can utilize any of the grooves. I recently purchased the Vintage and Nashville kits.
